A little robot French Bulldog was supposed to be a dog needless of attention, but it is far from the truth. Turned out that you as a robot-pet owner need to update the machine several times before it becomes a "mature individual"; and updates are expensive and take time.
At the end of the day, no one expected him to act like a real puppy! Messy with his food and toys, a new family member quickly showed the owners that he needs love and education.
And what can you do when he looks at you like this?
GOALS:
- to design a memorable character;
- to tell a story.
TOOLS USED:
- Maya - modeling of the character and the environment;
- Adobe Substance Painter - textures;
- Procreate - sketching ideas, painting my own textures.
INSPIRATION for this project was taken from a robot-bat that I have designed for one of the characters of The World of Osziana and, certainly, lots of cute French bulldogs.
